Abstract

In contemporary society, individuals frequently encounter mental health issues and diminished social religiosity, stemming from life pressures, social isolation, and loss of meaning. The Qur’an offers spiritual guidance that extends beyond theological doctrine, addressing the psychological and social dimensions of human experience. This study seeks to explore the Qur’anic concept of spiritual healing through a thematic and interdisciplinary lens, aiming to understand its potential in promoting mental well-being and fostering social religiosity. Employing a qualitative library research method with thematic analysis, the study incorporates insights from humanistic psychology and the sociology of religion. The findings highlight that verses emphasizing inner tranquility, patience, remembrance of God (dhikr), reliance on God (tawakkul), and repentance (tawbah) reflect a comprehensive model of spiritual healing. These themes resonate with Frankl’s idea of self-transcendence, Fromm’s emphasis on love and meaning, and Durkheim’s notion of moral cohesion. The study concludes that Qur’anic spiritual healing significantly supports psychological resilience and the reinforcement of socio-religious values. It offers a meaningful contribution to the interdisciplinary development of Islamic thought, psychological science, and sociological analysis.
